Iteration Protocol is a game developed with my friend Blendi using Unreal Engine, exploring the theme of obsolescence through mechanics inspired by reinforcement learning. While artificial intelligence improves by iterating over the same task and learning from previous attempts, the game inverts this logic by placing the player in control of multiple characters forced to repeat the same actions. Each character exists within a system shaped by what earlier characters have done, making certain solutions possible only through prior failures or partial progress. Advancement is built around trying, failing, and restarting with a new character, turning repetition, accumulation, and disposability into core elements of the gameplay experience.
